[LIVE UPDATE] Mount Kenya University Hosts 3rd Students with Disability Championships: A Celebration of Ability, Spirit, and Inclusivity
Thika, Kenya: 29 – 30 November 2025 – The 3rd Students with Disability Championship is unfolding at Mount Kenya University (MKU), bringing together an inspiring assembly of 240 athletes from 17 universities across Kenya. The event is a powerful showcase of inclusivity, resilience, and sporting excellence.
Championship by the Numbers

- 6 disciplines featured: Athletics, futsal, goalball, scrabble, chess, and darts
A Platform for Equality; The championship reflects MKU’s commitment to Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), ensuring that differently-abled students have equal opportunities to compete and excel. With accessible facilities and strong organizational support, MKU continues to lead in inclusive education and sports.
