KUSF Successfully Concludes the 2026 National Play-Offs A
The curtains have closed on a historic sporting chapter as Kabarak University proudly hosted the grand finale of the 2026 Kenya Universities Sports Federation (KUSF) National Play-Offs A.
For three electrifying days, the campus was transformed into a hub of competition, resilience, and camaraderie. A record 1,853 student-athletes from universities across Kenya showcased discipline, talent, and unity—turning the tournament into a true celebration of sportsmanship.
In his keynote address, Vice-Chancellor Professor Henry Kiplangat commended the athletes and institutions for elevating the standards of university sports. He reminded participants that while medals symbolize achievement, the true victory lies in the honour, pride, and character with which students represent their institutions.
“Sport possesses a unique and powerful ability to unite people across backgrounds, disciplines, and institutions,” he remarked. “Universities must nurture holistic individuals—leaders of integrity, resilience, and character.”
KUSF leadership received heartfelt appreciation for their tireless efforts in strengthening university sports nationwide. Gratitude was also extended to the Local Organizing Committee, officials, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters whose coordination ensured the seamless success of the tournament.
