MMUST Reigns Supreme as KU Follows Close During 5th KUSF Handball, Netball & Ultimate Frisbee Championships at Daystar University
After two days of high-octane action, strategic brilliance, and spirited sportsmanship, the 5th KUSF Handball, Netball & Frisbee Championships concluded at Daystar University’s Athi River Campus, leaving behind a trail of unforgettable moments and new champions across three dynamic sports.
In Frisbee, the fast-growing sport delivered thrilling matchups and breakout performances. KAFU soared to victory, clinching the top spot with precision and flair. MMUST secured the 1st runners-up position, while UOE rounded out the podium as 2nd runners-up—marking a strong showing for Western and Rift Valley institutions.
Handball saw fierce competition in both the men’s and women’s categories.
- In the Men’s division, KU emerged as champions, showcasing tactical depth and relentless energy. Daystar University claimed 1st runners-up on home turf, while UOE took 3rd place with a resilient finish.
- In the Women’s division, MMUST dominated the court to take gold, followed by Daystar University in second place and KU in third.
Netball delivered elegance and intensity across every match. - MMUST continued its winning streak in the Ladies’ category, earning top honors. Kisii University impressed with a strong second-place finish, while KU secured third.
- In the Men’s category, UOE clinched the championship title, with KU and MMUST following closely as 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.
The Championships brought together over 20 universities in a celebration of youth excellence, gender equity, and campus unity.
