Breaking Barriers, Building Champions: KU to host The 2nd KUSF Students with Disabilities Championships

From 28th to 30th November, Kenyatta University will host a landmark celebration of resilience, inclusion, and athletic excellence—the 2nd edition of the KUSF Students with Disabilities Championships. Organized by the Kenya University Sports Federation (KUSF), this event is open to all member institutions and promises to be a powerful showcase of talent, unity, and determination.

The Championships are more than a sporting competition—they are a bold statement of KUSF’s commitment to inclusive development and equal opportunity. By creating a platform where students with disabilities can compete, connect, and inspire, KUSF continues to lead the way in shaping a more equitable and empowering sports culture across Kenyan universities.

Over the course of three action-packed days, athletes will participate in a variety of adapted disciplines including athletics, sitting volleyball, goalball, and more. Each event is designed to ensure fair play, excitement, and meaningful participation. The atmosphere will be electric, filled with moments of triumph, camaraderie, and the kind of sportsmanship that transcends physical boundaries.

KUSF invites all member institutions to take part—whether by registering athletes, volunteering, or simply showing up to cheer. This is a chance to stand together in support of visibility, dignity, and opportunity for every student. The Championships will not only crown winners but also celebrate the courage and spirit of every participant.

“This championship is not just about medals—it’s about visibility, dignity, and opportunity. Every race run and goal scored is a step toward a more inclusive future.” – Joan Adalo KUSF SG
