The countdown is on for one of the most anticipated weekends in Kenya’s university sports calendar. The 5th KUSF Handball, Netball & Frisbee Championships will take place on 18–19 October 2025 at Daystar University’s Athi River Campus, bringing together over 50 institutions in a vibrant celebration of athleticism, unity, and campus pride.
This year’s edition introduces Frisbee as a standalone discipline, with teams from KU, TUK, KAFU, Tharaka, Maseno, Rongo, UOE, and MMUST ready to showcase the speed, strategy, and spirit that define the sport’s rising popularity. It’s a bold step forward for KUSF’s commitment to inclusive and evolving competition formats.
In Handball, the men’s pools feature a deep roster of contenders across four groups, with institutions like Daystar, UON, KU, MMUST, and Egerton anchoring the charge. The women’s pools are equally competitive, with KU, Daystar, MMUST, and Embu leading their respective groups. Expect fast-paced matches, tactical brilliance, and fierce rivalries as teams battle for top honors.
Netball promises elegance and intensity in equal measure. The men’s pools include KU, MMUST, Kisii, and Maseno, among others, while the ladies’ pools feature strong representation from Daystar, KU, TTU, MMUST, and USIU. With five teams in Pool C of the women’s draw, the depth of talent is undeniable.
Beyond the fixtures, the Championships will offer a platform for leadership, mentorship, and storytelling—amplifying the voices of student-athletes and the institutions that support them. Hosted by Daystar University, the event will benefit from world-class facilities and a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the spirit of KUSF.
As the pools are set and preparations intensify, one thing is clear: this isn’t just a tournament—it’s a movement. From the first whistle to the final throw, the 5th KUSF Championships will celebrate the power of sport to unite, inspire, and elevate.
